The wonderful @HennyBeaumont is exhibiting the incredible paintings she's been making in collaboration with the community of practice on trauma in the lives of autistic people & people with learning disabilities. I recommend you don't miss it wtm.uk/events/exhibition-inv鈥
Most definitely. I wish I had seen this. What a line up. A subject close to my heart, been saying this for years
#IPBSConf22 @BILD_tweets Listening to the wonderful Alicia Wood & @TwittleyJules talk to @AQuinnUnbroken "PBS doesn't work" Perhaps we should focus on meeting the physical, emotional and SENSORY needs of the person instead of just seeing "behaviour" #NoSafePlace #InSafeHands

I don't want trains without staff. I don't want to order food through an app in a restaurant. I don't want supermarkets without cashiers. I don't want to use screens to check in places. Your perceived convenience is taking away human contact and jobs. 馃様

The #GrenfellSilentWalk is always so moving, but how many more years will survivors and their supporters have to walk until they get justice?

Listening to the incredibly profound words of @sarasiobhan and the journey she and her family undertook, in search of #JusticeforLB. Reflecting on the integrity and support of @normanlamb which ensured accountability stood for something.

European Convention on Human rights. Originally proposed by Winston Churchill and drafted mainly by British lawyers, It was signed in Rome in 1950 and came into force in 1953. Does Johnson know?

Can we not declare ourselves a failed state and appeal to the UN or similar body of sensible adults?

Don't underestimate what a Government that has already revealed itself to be corrupt, autocratic, self-serving, bullying, dishonest, law-breaking and inhumane could do. History tells us that would be a serious mistake.

Also, I鈥檓 aware the UK has some lidos and nice things. However, leisure in Britain is increasingly outsourced, privatised and out of reach for ordinary people, especially if you don鈥檛 have a car. Every town should be demanding accessible and affordable culture & leisure.

In the Czech Republic鈥檚 second city, Brno, you can travel 15 minutes on public transport to a municipally owned & run outdoor swimming pool fed by spring water, surrounded by a forest. Why can鈥檛 British politics be about giving nice things to ordinary people?
