Expensive insulin is a very easy issue for people to understand, even if they're not diabetic, and "keeping insulin expensive" has no voter base at all.
One of the more mystifying aspects of the Dem kitchen-table obsession is the conviction that insulin prices are some kind of high-wattage political issue. Only 2% of the population takes insulin! Most people only have a foggy awareness of what it is, nevermind how much it costs!
