For almost 20 years, an unfinished hotel has stood as an unused, unusable eyesore in the midst of one of the largest protected nature sanctuaries in Spain. It’s a lesson in how much easier it is to damage the environment than to fix it.

The developers did not deposit a bond to destroy the illegal building in a protected area. This is the level of corruption in Spanish democracy, urban disruption and legal corruption. It's a thieves paradise
