I didn't get to see all the talks I wanted to see or meet with all the people I would have liked to have met with, but #ICRS2022 was an absolutely terrific meeting and hugely productive. Congratulations and appreciation to the organisers, helpers and everyone that made it happen
Today at #ICRS2022 Nancy Knowlton @SeaCitizens received the highest honour in coral reef studies: the Darwin Medal. She gave a fabulous and personal (but not ego-driven) talk about coral health and keeping passion and inquisitiveness at the heart of our scientific journey🙌🎖️
History is important. @odealab, @AngelinaIvkic, and I are hosting a session at #icrs2022 that will explore the #ecological and #environmental history of #reefs.
"Look forward to the past: What role do historical data play in the future of coral reefs" (1C)
Talks are on Friday!
