Roughly 1 in 4 American women will have an abortion. MAGA Republicans like Doug Mastriano would charge them with murder. You are not just voting for your own freedom. You are voting for the freedom of your wife, your daughters, your friends, and your family members.

🥳 In a first of its kind nationwide — @californiapuc voted to end gas subsidies for connecting new homes & buildings to the gas system starting in 2023 — saving Californians more than $160 million each year! #mapoli we need to catch up! earthjustice.org/news/press/…

There's an 80% chance that migrating monarch butterflies will go extinct in 50 years—but they're still not protected under the Endangered Species Act. Following a petition and legal work by the Center & allies, that may soon change. mashable.com/article/monarch…

The velocity of aviation’s climate impact is amazing. A flight lasting a few hours changes our atmosphere in observable ways for hundreds of years.

Them: "Why didn't you fly to take your kid to college so far away?" Me: "Trains are way more fun, especially sleeper-cars" #flyless "Plus choosing the lower-carbon option felt better. We need system change & different personal choices when possible to help change social norms."

I wonder at what point people realise the climate crisis isn’t going away, ever. We can halt the change if we rise up and force the government to change, but what damage is done and we are stuck with it for thousands of years. Rise up, peacefully, now.

Tiny urban forests can help #rewild urban settings and fight #climatechange. The brainchild of the Japanese botanist Miyawaki he's taking his idea global. We have so many solutions. Let's stop the delays and implement them. #ActOnClimate #climateaction #climate #forests #nature

Americans by and large don't understand how transformative high speed rail would be. There's a direct train from Barcelona, Spain to Paris, France. It takes 6 hours, tops out at almost 200 mph, and costs $40. Not $400. $40. That's like NYC to Columbus for the price of a meal.

Hi there 👋🏽 it’s your local “radical extremist” here regularly introducing legislation that’s popular with voters from both parties yet challenges the class interests controlling both so instead they convince you it’s “naïve, ineffective, and unreasonable,” how do you do? 🤠
The loan shark prevention act, introduced by @AOC, caps credit card interest rates at 15% and was the second most popular policy we polled last year out (Prescription drug negotiation was #1) out of 113 policies tested!

When Democrats are in charge of states and state legislatures this is what they do Vote in every election Governor Murphy’s recent re-election was uncomfortably close This wouldn’t have happened if he had lost The states are the battleground for our rights
New Jersey passed two proactive abortion bills through their state legislature protecting health care providers and out-of-state patients. I applaud @GovMurphy and both chambers in getting this done. I look forward to supporting further action on reproductive freedom.
