Today Nokia corporation assigned the copyrights of the Plan 9 Operating System to the Plan 9 Foundation bell-labs.com/institute/blog…. P9F has relicensed Plan 9 with the MIT license, and made the 1st through 4th editions available at p9f.org/dl.

Another interesting system inspired by Plan 9 is Inferno; source is available at bitbucket.org/inferno-os The Dis VM and Limbo language are things of beauty. I'd also recommend reading about {New,}Squeak, Alef, Oberon, and then looking at Go. Watching the evolution is beautiful.
