Let me explain a ”mild” case of post-vax #COVID19 for you, not as some lofty medical expert with just the right credentials to have an acceptable opinion, but as an electrical engineer. Have a nice pair of wireless earbuds. Accidentally left them in my pocket when doing wash. 🧵

That darn monkeypox might do a number on people who had covid and weren't vaxxed. Right? But it's not just monkeypox would we see that with other viruses?

Would I be wrong to get an smallpox vaccine? I mean just in case?
It's extremely unlikely, especially if the cases so far are first noticed in genital areas but monkeypox is also airborne so... 🤷🏻‍♂️

Absolutely disgusted to see the video showing Doug Ford’s staff assaulting a nurse. Nurses deserve better. Ontarians deserve better. An attack on one nurse is an attack on all of us…Where is the outrage?

Well thought Covid was over, finished a 5 d Paxlovid, felt well, X2 neg antigen tests. 5 d later up this AM lots of rinorrhea, sore throat, antigen test screaming +. So either this post-Paxlovid relapse is real, something unique to BA.2.12 (although can’t confirm)…or something

I know people who were in moderna and Pfizer trials. Kids were checked and some built antibodies others didn't it was surprising All kids are now vaxxed and have signs of it. Problem is ba4 and ba5 which are already spreading in the south
My 9 year old has been referred to a cardiologist after experiencing frequent episodes of syncope following COVID. To those in my profession who have been repeatedly downplaying COVID in kids, have a hard look at yourself and reflect on whether medicine remains right for you

That was kind of how he grilled him about it
We need updated vaccines but the ones we have still work vs severe illness and death though the more a virus changes the more difficult this protection becomes. I don't know who told you they do not work but likely they didn't understand or care to know how vaccines work

The FDA just authorized COVID-19 boosters for kids age 5-11 years. The CDC's recommendation is expected to follow shortly. Now would be a good time for parents to start looking at their calendars to find an appointment for their kids.
Today, we amended the EUA for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, authorizing the use of a single booster dose for administration to children 5-11 at least five months after completion of a primary series with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. bit.ly/39u1v6R
