envirobites.org/2020/05/19/a… Couldn't agree more! Isn't it time we started appreciating our native flora for what it is? Can we PLEASE stop calling them 'weeds'?? Would it really be so bad to have them grow in cracks on pavements or on road verges? πŸŒ±πŸŒΏβ˜˜οΈπŸƒπŸŒΎ

My balcony meadow. I call "weeds" wildflowers. I never call them weeds anymore.

Did you buy a seed mix? What soil did you use? I’d like to do that next year 😺

I have levender, rosemary and Ivy on top and the balcony wild flower meadow on the bottom. I tied them well so they couldn't blow away.

Absolutely gorgeous, Rachel. Even a balcony can be a wildlife haven! Just imagine if we all did 'our bit', the difference that would make! πŸ¦πŸπŸ¦‹

It would be amazing if we all did a bit. I am right beside a park that has been growing natural wildflower meadows the last 2 or 3 years but I still wanted to help out a bit. And there have been a lot of bees on the balcony. They must of needed them. πŸ¦‹πŸžπŸ•ΈοΈπŸ•·οΈπŸ¦ŸπŸŒπŸπŸπŸπŸπŸπŸπŸπŸ

Your balcony looks lovely! My balcony’s a bit dark on the one hand because it has a solid barrier but because it’s in the sun the back wall bakes so I’ll try hanging more baskets/planters off the barrier like you’ve done and we’ll see what happens. Thanks again for the tips! 😺
