still remembering how half this fandom did not understand Deke's video game cutscene was not being shown as A Good Thing, it was being ridiculed

Jeff has such a Harrison Ford vibe in this opening scene, though, I'd love to see him doing an action movie
1
in retrospect when Keller got his little talk about "stop going out with Elena" we probably should have all known he was gonna die
1
snow's face when shrike infection is my face seeing messed up stuff too, coincidentally. we love a morbid weird girl here yes we do

the fact I can tell the entire filming of this jeff and clark were unable to have straight faces because clark clearly gave up anyway, i truly love it

"slowin down but still hangin in there' look sarge does not even know who tf fitzsimmons are before 611 and he still is invested in them and supports them. king shit.
1
god but Deke tapping into that future dystopia Deke when he shanks Sarge's hand with the award, that's just pain tbh. a dude his age in his position should not know how to do that to survive.
1
truly love how Jaco and Pax were just dicking around and security didn't give a crap about these guys in tac gear until Deke ran into Jaco
1
Snow is coming from the general direction a breakroom would be in so I can only assume she's just chugged the entire pot of coffee because of course she has
1
sarge and pax looking like their minds are blown after jaco dispenses his wisdom about strange being the norm, i love these dumbasses with all my heart
1
"why is coulson trying to kill me?" I mean Deke. Think long and hard about all the reasons he probably would have if that was him.

Snow follows the Peggy Carter school of fighting, "hit something with blunt force until it submits" but with extra stabbiness, and I love that for her

watching this scene again confirms "you know who does like toys?" really was snow and sarge's "get help" and they're nerds, your honor
1
I have watched this episode five times now and I'm only NOW noticing the crucifixion imagery with Benson's death scene, this season is so Goth and for WHAT
2
THERE'S A WHOLE ASS SPEAR SHAPED CRYSTAL GOING THROUGH HIS SIDE
look aos was NEVER a subtle show but good lord did Anno direct this one

I still can't believe they shot the IG story scene on an actual phone and then broke the fourth wall by putting it on Instagram, one of the more creative things they did

I keep forgetting Lou Diamond Phillips directed this episode and man what a random director choice
1
he did real good though, to the point where if he does Horrorhound next year I fully intend to meet him and tell him he did good and maybe get a BTS still from the ep signed by him.
1
the way they take would could have been just straight Philinda fanservice in this episode and use it as a vehicle for psychological horror, the way they did the same for Fitzsimmons in the next episode... why is this our comfort show, I ask?

YES MORE SEXY PROPS AND SET CLOSEUPS, THAT'S WHAT I'M HERE FOR. show me that environmental storytelling please
1
look I am going to take a second to point out what an overdramatic and fashionable nerd Sarge is, he replaced his bandage from when Deke stabbed him with a black one because Coordination
(this is also how I know the group truck promo pics were done when they shot this episde)

okay the first time I saw this episode I read Snow petting May as her not knowing how to people because (gestures at her) but I'm starting to see it more as her in disbelief there's an actual cool woman around and making sure she's real and not a clammy Shrike or illusion

like I'll probably yell about it more during this livetweet but after watching this episode a few times it's clear it's her turning point finding a new role model who's a badass lady like her and that means everything to her
