We use a stipple brush and splatter a skin tone (real colour palette) onto the tats, so not touching the skin directly. It can be time consuming especially if an actor has more than one to cover… #AskHelen
I know that Jack Fox had quite a few of them on his upper body, so the scene where he takes off his shirt must have been quite the challenge 😳

There were no differences in the makeup and hair. It stays the same. It was just much harder for us to do checks in the candlelight. #AskHelen#Sanditon
Research was from portraits painted during that time. Charlotte is from farming community & is not used to the fashion of Sanditon. We wanted to reflect this & keep her a free spirited relatable young woman who had moved into a community totally different from her own. #AskHelen
