So produce the FOI request then. We both know you won't because you're blustering, just as you always do. What a joke! #hs2 #stophs2isdead

E27 also says Crewe - Manc #hs2 modal shift would save 3.8 million tonnes co2eq over 120 years. But how could that happen, if internal combustion cars are phased out by 2040-2050? #how #mystery

#hs2 phase 2b carbon information paper E27 estimates the Crewe - Manchester section's embedded emissions at 5 million tonnes co2eq. Not far off the co2eq tonnage of phase one, but in a much shorter section of line.

And who should we believe on #HS2? The @transportgovuk and @hs2ltd or senior whistleblowers?

Why don't more people in the UK know this instead of being complacent about living in the 10th from bottom most #nature depleted country in the world? #HS2 and #developments have a lot to answer for in getting us that low on the scales.
A tree can support 100’s of species of birds, insects, fungus and lichen. whilst soaking up #CO2. So protecting existing trees & planting many more is a no-brainer for supporting #nature and tackling the #ClimateCrisis

Some of the compounds used for the building of #HS1 were huge. Show me a picture from today of them. You can't. They have been returned to nature. The same will happen #HS2. Publishing pictures of the current building sites with a comment that this is forever is pointless.

I think you meant to say #HS2 is being built. See what I did there? Told the truth. Try it sometime. It feels good!

Well said Hugh. Sadly the #hs2 fanboy club (and it is, with possibly with one exception an exclusively male preserve) with the @Greens4HS2 remain oblivious to the facts.

#HS2 Insulate Britain has a point - spending the Β£200bn being spent on HS2 on insulating walls, windows & lofts would have a much greater effect towards NTZ
Did you Know? If you live in Italy and want to insulate walls and windows and install a heat pump and/or solar, the government will pay you 110% of the cost. Yes, you read that right.

Next up, it's @HS2ltd for claiming that their trumped up train will be "zero carbon from day 1" despite @GOVUK 's own calculations for #HS2 suggesting its carbon emissions could exceed potential savings, even over the railway’s projected 120-year lifetime πŸš†πŸŒπŸ’₯ #StopHS2

I honestly wouldn't bother. It's based on false data. Compare Ryan Air CO2 figure (57) with the report (250) to start with. Factor of 4 difference. 8g/passenger km on rail. No chance. All #HS2 trains will not be full all day to start with.
