i can say that fedora is kinda pleasant, but if you've never had an rpm distro before it can be frustrating at the start, as it was for me. tbh i only sticked with it long enough because i had a friend who reassured me, and some other friends who could do rpm and dnf magic

oh, but I used the plasma spin and the xfce spin, not the gnome "default" version, so cannot vouch for that at all

what happened to "the u is silent" that i seem to know from japanese? it was super wild to have the german dub of naruto call the guy "sasuuuke"; clearly it doesn't apply to every u, or it'd have been "narto" and "sakra", but i would kind of expect it in kitsune? kids? nay.

Afaik the u isn’t silent, it’s just unvoiced. You make the shape with your mouth and blow the right amount of air without tensing your vocal chords. It’s real obvious if you listen to a Japanese native speaker say “tofu”, the word ends with rounded lips + a large puff of air

off the top of my head i think the syntax you would use is <+ascii-excluded>

Ah, I tried <ascii - excluded> and that does not work, but with the "+" it works. Thanks a lot!

If <excluded> is not a character class, the more general construct is <!excluded> <ascii> (the ! makes it a negative look-ahead).

Ah, I tried <ascii> && <!excluded>, because I did not realise it means "negative look-ahead". Thanks!
