Great report of our 'Americans and the Holocaust' traveling exhibition in Maine by @hannahyechiviTV, who spoke with @rerbelding, a historian @HolocaustMuseum ... find out what Mainers knew about the Holocaust and what they did. #ushmm
Museum historian Rebecca Erbelding says the exhibit is a good opportunity to teach younger generations about the Holocaust so that similar events don't ever happen again. #NEWSCENTERmaine @HolocaustMuseum @bangorlibrary newscentermaine.com/article/…

Agree 100%. My kid (MA from Brandeis, under the advisement of Prof Jonathan Sarna) who now works for the #USHMM would be happy to lead her through the museum, educate on the reality of Nazism, and underscore the catastrophic historic reality of the Holocaust.

How did this even get into the curriculum? How many years were students encouraged to learn about Nazi economic policies? Slap in face to Jewish students & community #USHMM #Auschwitz What you learn in school matters. #ableg #abed #OntEd @HolocaustMuseum
Recess was the scariest part of the day for Frank Liebermann, who began German public school at age six. He and his Jewish classmates couldn’t escape non-Jewish students who physically tormented them. On 11/17 at 1 p.m. ET, hear Frank's survival story.

The Chinese government has done its best to keep information about crimes against the Uyghurs, a Muslim minority, from seeing the light of day, said Tom Bernstein, #USHMM Committee on Conscience chairman. It must halt its attacks and allow in independent international monitors.
The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum says it has compiled evidence of increasing government repression against Uyghur Muslims in China's western Xinjiang region. apne.ws/TSzoLN3
