I’ve been having some PUN handing out these certificates of achievement in class today. All of my students have been working hard, but these 5 worked EXTRA hard to tie for the highest score in their section! #WarrenProud #WarriorSpirit #APworld

Some were very engaged (it was 8:00 am on a Friday, tbf). It is very important for students to see the change and continuity, the history, of ancient and medieval America. The problem noted by @westhighlandrim is by no means limited to #APWorld #whapchat
The way the early Americas are erased by the new AP World History curriculum is really something. Course starts with a 14 section unit spanning 1200-1450 ce. Everywhere except the Americas there are "developments" and "networks of exchange" happening. #whapchat

Two years ago today was the last time #APWorld got to present and play their trade route board games. This is such a fun project! These kids are seniors now and I’d almost guarantee they remember info about their trade routes.

#APHistory covers centuries of history. It also tests students on critical #socialscience skills. Visit circaproject.com to see how Circa teaches students the skills they need to succeed on all three exams. #apush #apeuro #apworld

Ask an #APWorld student who’s made it through Unit 4 and they can tell you he sailed using Asian technologies to try to find more Asian goods. Throwing in Europe here is just another “West is best” ploy that just flat out isn’t historically accurate.

A half a millennium ago Columbus used technology developed in Europe to sail across a giant ocean and discover a new continent. Today we celebrate that daring and ingenuity. Happy Columbus Day!
