#watched THE PETRIFIED FOREST (1936) It's brute force vs wit as gangster Humphrey Bogart holds vagabond writer Leslie Howard hostage in a dusty roadside diner. I'd give up a lot to be able to spew impossibly clever musings the way Howard's "Alan Squier" does in this film.
