#OTD August 14, 1922, Frank Aiken, commander of IRA 4 Northern Division who'd tried to stay neutral but been arrested by pro-Treaty troops, led attack on Dundalk Bks. C.300 FS troops captured, 5 killed 15 wounded. 300 anti-Treaty prisoners were freed. theirishstory.com/2013/08/14…
