I commend our great military for successfully and safely downing the spy balloon. Now it’s time for the CCP to explain their violation of our airspace and for the US to ensure this is the last balloon that flies over our country.

the spy balloon narrative is perfectly situated to stimulate americans and their wildly racist belief that china is basically still in the victorian era technologically, as are all non-white nations in their little golden retriever brains

do americans have any idea how fucking stupid they all sound all the time
Notable: US officials say they were able to block the balloon from gathering intel during its overflight of the US, while the US military was able to turn the tables, so to speak, to gather intel on the balloon itself and its equipment.

I often see people on here act like the CIA is separate from class struggle, as if a group of Wall Street professionals taking over major parts of the state to assert first-world bourgeois dominance and build the world's largest empire isn't an explicit manifestation of class war

Biden suppressed the rail strike and everyone in Congress cheered and now the underpaid, undermanned, railroad staff working no sick days, no schedules, running superlong trains have predictably had another accident
East Palestine, OH tonight. Norfolk Southern had a train derail and strike an oil storage tank and a building that uses vinyl chloride, very toxic stuff. Town was evacuated, a friend of mine who’s from the area has been accounted for, thankfully.

I didn't know until I read this that Brandon Johnson was part of the Dyett High School hunger strike in 2015. I've been at so many protests, a lot as a Legal Observer, and it's incredible to think of the person in control of CPD actually caring about the protesters. Sea change.
A former CPS teacher, Brandon Johnson started at Jenner Academy in Cabrini Green. He told The TRiiBE he wasn’t initially trying to be a politician but felt compelled to because elected leaders “we were pushing wouldn’t react, so we had to beat them.” thetriibe.com/2023/01/2023-b…

Arizona & California have reached end of the line and have to solve water crisis immediately. Lake Superior — largest freshwater lake in the world — runneth over. Can’t we use existing pipes to rush water to Colorado River? #ActNow Cut methane ASAP! 👇 gallantgoldhillreporter.com/…

funniest part is the guy they'd doing this far called the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v Wade "anti-climactic" and was sure the Dems would get crushed in the midterms, spent election morning trashing the White House strategy. just absolutely atrocious political instincts
So funny they ended up choosing like the one state worse than Iowa and they did it as a favor to one guy only. Maybe it's an unspoken rule that they'll change the calendar in 2028 to something less terrible?

Adult manchild nazis are doing struggle sessions on Twitter over how racist their nazi militia heroes are publicly allowed to be while these virgins just communicate directly in nazi talking points

Russian government structure is still eerily similar to that of Mongolian empire. Odd since Mongolia itself is a firm democracy

People are talking about how horrible it looks as a game, but the thing that really impresses me is how rolling around and button mashing also utterly fails to feel like Harry Potter shit at all. Worst of all worlds. Incredible

My theory is that it was a directed thunder bolt experiment / cheap weapon. Balloons would carry rolled up wires. They would reel it down when the weather is cloudy so that the charge difference at both end of the tether initiates a thunder bolt that strikes anywhere under it.
