3) I still wouldn't recommend adopting Go, for pretty much anything. It's full of footguns, is really hard to maintain, is opaque to a lot of established tooling, is ffi-hostile due to design choices that cannot/will not be addressed...

If I were to write semver I would just make it not have any conflicts.

I mean understanding conflicts in Cargo is miles better than simply using readelf but it is still hell.
