Philip Pierce & Co. in Wexford (founded in 1839) was one of the most important manufacturers of agricultural machinery in Ireland. I have a number of Pierce trade catalogues from the twentieth century, which (as promised to @bighappyhead) I am posting some photographs of. (1/10)

Three small transistor dies from 1960's IBM SLT modules. These transistors have "solder bumps" to attach to modules in so-called "flip chip" mounting. (Flip chip mounting is common today; these were *way* ahead of their time.) Outtake from a photo shoot with @TubeTimeUS

@toolotheday I made a Mac Cracker out of a broken screw driver and a cheap 1/4” drill bit adapter. Now I can get to the deep torx screws behind the screen.

3D printing @toolotheday. This is a sharpener for clutch pencils (metal or plastic body with a 2mm+ "lead"). It makes a great job of sharpening the end of my filament for easier threading into the printer.

All you drillium fans - how do you manually mark out curved, uneven or even flat surfaces accurately down to 0.25mm. No, not with 2 or 3 axis CNC milling machine. You need this 0.3mm thick spring steel marking gauge. #oldschool

I made the mistake of mentioning to my wife that I might buy a new pair of secateurs. So she has rounded up all the pairs she has found around the house. And handed me some wire wool and a blade sharpener. She's still finding them...😳 I'm not sure what her point is...

#ToolOfTheDay - generic eBay cable tie tool - fantastically handy when you have a lot of cable ties to do. Tightens and cuts in one go.

We’re double masking at work. I have valved KN95s to protect our lungs from the smoke and fabric over that to protect each other from COVID. But the elastic on the KN95s is uncomfortable so I’m using a hair stick to keep my ears from hurting.

Was given an old polishing motor. Cleaned all the gunk out of it, located a couple of mandrel ends, applied the requisite @instructables Robot sticker and it's good to go!
